On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, we held a “social gathering” in conjunction with the Seafood Show Osaka the next day.

This year’s first networking event was held in Miyagi, Shiga, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki prefectures, including supermarkets and co-ops, as well as major fisheries and trading companies, wholesalers, seasonings, packaging materials, seafood processing manufacturers, fisheries, and others. Approximately 80 people, including those involved in aquaculture, attended.

At Syokushin, we regularly hold social gatherings with the aim of expanding the fish-eating culture.

It is an opportunity for fisheries-related people from a wide range of industries to gather from all over the country to deepen friendships and leverage their individual strengths to revitalize the fisheries industry and popularize fish eating.

In his opening remarks, Masatake Kusano, General Manager of the Consulting Department, emphasized, “We would like to openly exchange opinions and work together with everyone to invigorate the fisheries industry.”
