第22回「シーフードショー大阪」

On the morning of February 19th (Wednesday), I went to the Seafood Show Osaka.

Among many exhibitors and attractive products, what caught my attention in particular was the proposal for “whale meat.”

 At Uoichi, there are suggestions for enjoying high-quality whale meat. The close-up images of three types of whale meat, from left to right: ■Kanoko ■Akami ■Ono-mi, are very delicious whether served as sashimi or sushi, but the suggestion of “whale katsu” particularly stood out as something that both adults and children would enjoy.

Instead of “takoyaki” made with “whale tongue,” there was “whale grilled” which had a texture similar to “octopus” and was delicious.

In particular, these two booths were very popular. It is said that young people and children are moving away from fish, but this event made me feel the efforts and creativity of everyone to expand the “fish-eating culture” and promote “fish consumption.”
