I went to the “Sunday Morning Market” at Tajiri Fishing Port.

On March 2nd (Sunday), I went to the “Sunday Morning Market” at Tajiri Fishing Port for the first time in a while. It opens at 7 AM, but despite the rain, there was a crowd at 6:50. The particularly eye-catching cheap items were:
■ Red sea cucumber (1 serving) 700 yen
■ Fresh wakame (1 box) 200 yen
■ Toba shellfish (1 basket) 200 yen (2 baskets) 300 yen, which are delicious when boiled in salt or baked like turban shells.
■ Medium-sized mackerel (1 serving) 500 yen or 700 yen
■ Boiled shrimp (1 serving) 1300 yen
■ Locally produced homemade clam meat (1 piece) 800 yen,
which is in season, large in size, and freshly caught clams are very sweet! Other fresh seafood included red flatfish, live squid, mackerel, sea bass, and swordfish, along with various local shellfish. I have been going to the “Sunday Morning Market” at Tajiri Fishing Port for about four years now, and it seems that the number of customers has been increasing year by year.
